"A Smooth Architect" is electronic music producer. He became interested in music through Yellow Magic Orchestra. His influences include Ultravox, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Neil Young, Queen, Genesis, The Police, and Talking Heads. In the late 1990s, inspired by Ambient House and Detroit Techno, he began producing tracks on a KORG 01/W and Roland JP-8000, and since 2008 has been performing live at events and releasing tracks on CD-R. In 2014, he began performing under his current name, and in 2018, released "With You / Imagined Memories" on Force Energy Records. Currently, with a Mac, Ableton Live, Native Instruments MASCHINE, and Pioneer DJ TORAIZ SP-16 as his production equipment, he continues to produce and perform electronic music that transcends genres such as Techno, Ambient, Electronica, House, and Synth-Pop. He is also known as "Archie" and lives in Tokyo, Japan.
Yellow Magic Orchestraで音楽に興味を持つ。影響を受けたアーティストはUltravoxやKraftwerk、Brian Eno、Neil Young、Queen、Genesis、The Police、Talking Headsなど。1990年代後半、Ambient HouseやDetroit Technoに触発されてKORG 01/WとRoland JP-8000でトラック制作を始める。2008年からイベント参加などによるライブ活動や、CD-Rによるトラックリリースを行う。2014年から現名義での活動を始め、2018年、Force Energy Recordsからリリースされた「With You / Imagined Memories」にてBeatportデビュー。現在はMacとAbleton Live、Native Instruments MASCHINE、Pioneer DJ TORAIZ SP-16を制作機材の中心に据え、Techno、Ambient、Electronica、House、Synth-Popなど、ジャンルを超えた電子音楽の制作や都内でのライブ活動を続けている。通称「アーキ」、東京在住。
